Briggs has been with Rome Mortgage Company since its founding in 1994. He has seen the company grow from a start up business to the largest mortgage broker in Northwest Georgia.

Briggs graduated from Furman University, and went on to receive a Master's Degree from Brenau College. He also attended the Capstone Institute of Mortgage Finance. Briggs is active in professional, community, and church organizations within the Rome/Floyd County area.
